Background and Experience
 I am a first year teacher in Art! I am in a private school in Manahawkin and my studetns range from pre-k 3 to 8th grade. I completed my undergraduate program at Stockton in December 2019! This is my 3rd course as a graduate student aiming to get my MAED in Special Education and my LDTC certification! Background/Experience:
Next year will be my 3rd full school year at Middle Township Middle School in Cape May Court House.  I am currently teaching 6th grade social studies both general ed and inclusion.  I also teach a 7th grade resource social studies class. 
I graduated from Stockton University with my undergraduate degree in 2016.  I completed my special education certification last August, and have just completed my capstone for my MAED.  This will be my second LDTC course. 
In my free time I love to be outdoors hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding and riding my bike.

Background/Experience:
I probably differ from many of you in that my career in education did not begin in the classroom but as a curriculum developer at Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ. I was involved in many amazing things at LSC, including Cardiac Classroom and tons of interactive videoconferencing in an era long before Zoom - we needed two giant televisions and numerous cables and wires (haha) but it was fun. I also worked in higher education at a community college, as an administrator and an adjunct before I took the giant leap into the classroom over 12 years ago. I taught middle school science and language arts before moving to an alternative school setting (which was interesting) and finally ending up at Millville Senior High School teaching Environmental Science (and lately whatever else they ask me to teach - including science for the Intellectually Disabled students at our school). I graduated from Stockton in December 2019 with a BA in Elementary Education.  I have a younger brother with multiple disabilities (Asperger's, ADHD, EBD, and a learning disability). I have worked with children since I was fourteen years old. I have worked for day cares and summer camps for over four years. I was a classroom assistant at Bankbridge Elementary in Gloucester County for an ESY program working with Kindergarten students with EBD in 2017. In high school I worked with the Top Soccer program for 2 years and Top Bicycle program for 1 year. My dream is to teach Elementary Special Ed and eventually get a LDTC certification.  This is my fourth graduate course at Stockton. I am currently a substitute teacher in Gloucester County and Vineland where I student taught Kindergarten. My goal is to complete my Special Education certification and land a job at a special services school district in the upcoming school year. In my free time, I like to read poetry, play soccer and basketball, and take selfies with my cat.
