He might pressurize Capulet into convincing Juliet. As Juliet is in love with Romeo, she would probably argue with her parents, and try to get out of the marriage. Lord Capulet seemed like a pretty reasonable father in the beginning of the story when he told Paris he needed to win Juliet’s heart before marrying her, but as he has already promised Paris Juliet’s hand in marriage, he might not be very lenient with her anymore. Romeo and Juliet will try their best to get out of the promised marriage with Paris, and Romeo might take some harsh actions and hurt Paris.
