The Egyptian myth of the death of Osiris - Alex Gendler

Osiris is the brother of Set and the God of Egypt. Set was always jealous of Osiris' success. Then, Set traps Osiris by locking him in a chest and dumping him into the Nile.

Isis is the wife of Osiris and wants to find him. Then Isis found the chest in Byblos, but Osiris was dead.

When Set finds out, he cuts Osiris's body into pieces and throws it away. Isis didn't give up and collected the pieces of Osiris' body. But, the fish had eaten Osiris's penis. Isis then resurrected Osiris without his penis.

Because of that, Osiris was no longer become the ruler of Egypt, but he ruled the world for the dead. Before Osiris died, Isis gave birth to a child who will become the heir and seek revenge against Set.

Moral of the story
Don't be jealous of your brother and do evil things.

They were very poor and their stepmother hated them very much. One night Hansel and Gretel's stepmother told their father to just throw them in the forest, they were sad to hear that. At night, Hansel took his jacket and filled his jacket pocket with gravel that he found behind the house. Morning came their father and stepmother took them to the forest and along the way Hansel put pebbles along the path they passed. They made a bonfire and left Hansel and Gretel alone in the forest. Hansel and Gretel slept for a short time and after waking up they got ready to follow the pebbles Hensel had laid along the road and when they got home their father was very happy but not their stepmother. The stepmother told their father that they should be left in the deeper forest. Hansel sprinkled bread along the path they passed but the birds ate the bread he sprinkled so they could not return to their homes as they walked they found a house full of food. While they were eating, a witch came out and gave them a lot of food and it turned out that the witch had evil intentions but Hansel and Gretel managed to return to their house with the gold they found in the witch's house and gave the gold to her father and since then they have never been hungry again.

moral from this story:
Evil never wins against good

Father's love is so great for his children

His mother was an Empress who was expelled because she was slandered for poisoning the Concubines and Physician of the Jenggala Kingdom. Cindelaras intends to explain all the problems that occur to his father (Raden Putra), but it is very necessary to do so. Cindelaras' rooster, which can crow uniquely, managed to defeat all the roosters in the kingdom. King Jenggala was curious, asking for the headmaster to arrange the match. Cindelaras asked for conditions, if he lost he was willing to be beheaded, and if he won he asked for half of Raden Putra's wealth. The battle was won by Cindelaras, then he told the situation and was assisted by the Royal Patih who helped his mother first. Finally, the concubine was given the appropriate punishment by Raden Putra. The king immediately ordered his soldiers to pick up the Empress in the forest.

They had a poor life because their father was only a farmer. Their stepmother was an evil witch, so she came up with a plan to send Hansel and Gretel to the forest. When Hansel and Gretel went to the forest they found a house that is fully made out of candies. Both of them went to the house and eat the candies, then an ugly looking woman came out of the house and invites them to come in. At first the woman was so kind at them but then the woman actually has an evil plan on them because she is also a witch which is also evil. She has a plan to eat Hansel, so she kept Hansel in a room with bars and ask Gretel to help her. But Gretel had a plan to kill the witch and it worked, after killing the witch they found a room full of golds. Sooner later their father found them and tell them that their stepmother have gone away from their house. And now they lived happily.

Morals:
This story teaches many lessons to children, that things that look very good can turn out to be bad.

Sweet things are sometimes poisonous. One day in a  beautiful summer day, the sun shines warmly on an old house near a river. Behind the house a mother duck is sitting on ten eggs. One by one all the eggs break open. All except one, the biggest egg of all. Mother duck sits and sits on the big egg. At last it breaks open, out jumps the last baby duck. It looks big and strong, it is grey and ugly. The next day mother duck takes all her little ducks to the river. She jumps into it. All her baby ducks jump in. The big ugly duckling jumps in too.
They all swim and play together. The ugly duckling swims better than all the other ducklings. The farm yard is very noisy. The poor duckling is so unhappy there. They treat him bad there. One day he runs away and comes to a river. He sees many beautiful big birds swimming there. The little duckling looks and looks at them. He wants to be with them. He knows they are swans. He really wanted to be beautiful like them. Winter season came, everything is covered with snow. The river is covered with ice. The ugly duckling is very cold and unhappy. Spring comes once again. The sun shines warmly. Everything is fresh and green. One morning the ugly duckling sees the beautiful swans again and he knows them. He wants so much to swim with them in the river, but he is afraid of them. He wants to die. So he runs into the river. He looks into the water. There in the water he sees a beautiful swan. It is him. He's no more an ugly duckling. He is a beautiful white swan.

Following Euridice's  funeral Orpheus was overcome with a 
grief the human world could not contain.
and so he decided he would journey 
to the Land of the Dead, a place from which no living creature had ever 
returned to rescue his beloved.
 When Orpheus reached 
the gates of the Underworld he began to strum his lyre The music was so 
beautiful that Cerberus the three headed dog who guards the dead laid down, 
As Orpheus passed Charon the ferry captain who charged dead 
souls to cross the river sticks was so moved by the music that he brought 
Orpheus across free of charge. When Orpheus entered the Palace of 
Hades and Persephone the King and queen of the Dead he began to sing 
He sang of his love for your Eurydice and said she had been taken away too 
soon The day would come when she like all living creatures dwelled in the land of the 
dead for all eternity So couldn't Hades
grant her just a few more 
years on earth.
 In the moment after Orpheus finished all hell 
stood still Sisyphus no longer rolled his rock up the hill, Tantalus did 
not reach for the water He would never be allowed to drink even the furies The 
demonic goddesses of vengeance Wept,
Hades and persephone granted 
Orpheus plea But on one condition as he climbed back out of the 
underworld he must not turn around to see if Eurydice was following behind him.
If he did she would return to the land of the dead forever 
Orpheus began to climb with each step He worried more and 
more about whether Eurydice was behind him, He heard nothing Where were her 
footsteps. Finally just before he stepped out of the underworld and 
into the bright light of day he gave in to temptation, Orpheus 
tried to return to the underworld but was refused entry separated 
from Eurydice Orpheus swore never to love another woman again.
 Instead 
he sat in a grove of trees and sang songs of lovers There was 
Ganymede the beautiful boy who Zeus made drink bearer to the gods ,There 
was mira who loved her father and was punished for itm, and Pygmalion who 
sculpted his ideal woman out of ivory then prayed to venus until she came to 
life And there was venus herself whose beautiful 
Adonis was killed by a wild boar It was as if Orpheus own love 
and loss had allowed him to see into the hearts of gods and people 
everywhere.
 For some however poetry was not enough a group of wild women called the maenads could not bear the thought that a poet who 
sang so beautifully of love would not love them, Their jealousy 
drove them to a frenzy and they destroyed poor Orpheus The birds 
Nature's singers mourned Orpheus as did the rivers who made music as they 
battled The world had lost two great souls Orpheus and 
Euridice.  Had loved each other so deeply that when they were separated Orpheus had 
understood the pain and joys of lovers everywhere and a new art form 
The love poem was born, while the world Wept Orpheus found 
peace and his other half in the underworld. There To this 
day he walks with eurydice along the banks of the river styx
Sometimes they stroll side by side, Sometimes she is in front and sometimes 
he takes the lead turning to look back at her as often as he likes .

Sorry if the story is kinda short becuz the assigment was done only by 1 person :(
Anyways the moral of the story is that if you were asked or tasked with doing something try resisting the temptation to violate the order or favor asked to you the the example is this story where Orpheus looked back when specifically ordered not to by Hades.
