The climax of this book is when Roo is able to use a specialized computer called CBI (CBI is a computer that lets Roo have the ability to speak). Having this then means that the secrets Tilly had are now made known to Roo, but that doesn't make the situation any better then when it started. Even though Roo might be able to relate or understand it doesn't make the it any easier.

I would have to describe Roo as smart, caring, punctual, and loving. The reason I choose these specific things is because she is going to go to Yale, she loves and cares about her family and friends, and in the first chapter it talks about how she is never late. I would describe Tilly as creative, not patient, slightly tempered, caring, and loving. I describe Tilly in this way because she is into owls and she makes dragons, she constantly was texting Roo (which was one of the reasons Roo crashed), she got mad and punched Newton at the hospital, and she also loves and cares about her family and friends.

The dynamic character of this story I would have to say would be Marlene. I say this because in the beginning of the story she was mean to Tilly and talking about how Tilly shouldn't have been texting Roo, and other stuff like that. In the end though she is at the booth for donations for a benefit dance for Roo and she was also at the art show where some of Roo's pictures and some pieces of Althea's art were. Also, while she was there she even promised Roo that she would keep the fund going.

The exposition of this story starts where Roo is late picking up Tilly at the museum because she was taking pictures at the Connecticut River. Her phone s constantly buzzing with text messages from Newton, Tilly, and Isabel, but Roo ignores them. When she is finished taking pictures for her portfolio she texts back everyone who texted her and gets into her car. Her phone buzzes again with another message from Tilly, and she replies, "5 minutes away." This is found on page 5.

The external conflict for this story would have to be character vs. society. The reason I say this is because 94% of teens acknowledge the dangers of texting while driving, but 35% of teens admit to doing it anyway. Society makes it look like it's okay to text and drive, but in reality it is not okay and the danger is high. Cell phones are a HUGE distraction while driving.

Also, in the first chapter it talks about the Connecticut river.

There are actually two narrators in this story because each chapter is told from either Roo's or Tilly's perspective. I like how the author did this because you get to hear both sides or points of views from the main characters. Doing this also gives you a better understanding of the story in a way that you may not have been able to understand with only one point of view.

One of the things that I liked about this book was that it was told from two perspectives and not just one. Not many books that I have read have two or more perspectives in them, it is usually just one perspective. I also think having two perspectives makes the book sometimes more fun to read, especially when one of the perspectives is one of your favorite characters. I say that because the main character or characters are not always your absolute favorite character.

One of the things that I didn't like about this book was the ending. Don't get me wrong lots of books have bad endings, but this one I particularly didn't like. I didn't like ending because it didn't give closer. The last sentence is "So the four of us sat by the river, looking out at the moon and the sunset, and waiting for something else, something beautiful, maybe another shooting star, just for us." That is found on page 336. It leaves me with me with so many questions about all the characters in this book. Such as what happens to Roo, does she get better? Do Tilly and Slater start dating? Do Roo and Newton stay together? There are so may questions that I have that will only be answered by my imagination.

The thing that I would add to this book is an epilogue. The reason I would add this is because even though it doesn't give you the answers to all your questions, it can give you clues that may lead you to the answers that you are seeking. Epilogues can also be fun to read because they may be very vague and it is fun to interpret the end in your own way with the information given.
