I will identify the purpose of the concern and find out more from the parent as to what are her worries and concerns. I will then take some time to find out from the child and the peers around her to address the situation with her parents. I will then address and communicate with the parent on how we can improve the situation in school.

For example, when parent makes a request such as allowing the child to give out present in school as a farewell gift. I will acknowledge the parent’s intention and see how we can allow the child to give out the gifts during graduation.

明白家长的担忧，关于最近蚊子的问题，校长也按排了灭蚊公司，希望可以减少蚊子的繁殖，另外也建议家长可以给孩子买防蚊贴，家长表示理解。

Moving forward, I would take a pause to get confirmation that they have finished sharing before starting to give my response.

Introduce myself and understand their background. Let them know how I will be engaging the children in the coming weeks and I will aslo update the parents.

接下来我会让自己变慢一点，认真聆听。

1. Purpose- I will check with the parent when is an appropriate time to speak with her / him. I will share that I have observed how the child has been in class and would like to discuss about it.

2. Picture - I will share that the reason of the conversation is to check if the parent has observed the same at home

3. Part- I will discuss with the parent on which suggestion that she feels is feasible and follow up after a few days to see if it has been effective.

Moving forward, I will have a clear idea in my mind of what I would like to share with the parents first. This can help me to better concise what I need to say and help me stay on point without overloading information onto the parents.

Planning ahead will greatly help me relay the information I want for the parents and my colleagues to hear so we can come up with better solutions or outcomes together.

I plan by sharing with CL about the feedback and share this feedback with my colleague involved.

I will share with the parent on how i share her feedback with the involved teacher and also share with her on how she contribute in her child’s development in centre

As I have to inform them about the accident, I need to make sure parents understand what had happened and are reassured that child is well. Thus, I will have to plan properly on what to say and use positive words to convey my empathy and understanding. I will need to explain the scenario factually, and also explain that first aid has been administered, child has been comforted, and will keep parents updated.

I will thank the parents for their feedback and assure them that I will be bringing it up to my centre leaders. I will inform the class teacher about the parent’s feedback. I will then let my centre leaders know so that proper measures can be taken.

Sometimes when parents are relaying important messages, I am not able to catch them and miss out on certain things.

和家长沟通关于非华族孩子学习华文的问题，要事先做好功课，可以和以前教过这个孩子的老师了解一下他的学习华文的情况，收集一些信息，然后再和家长谈，让家长理解一个没有华文环境的家庭学习华文的一些常见和会见到的问题和挑战，让家长理解在近期和未来所要面对的一些挑战，这样可以帮助家长更好的再次考虑和做出正确的决定。

我想要让家长了解这个幼儿的华文说的方面需要进步。

然后进行思考如何沟通可以达到这样的结果：

我会先考虑这个孩子在表达方面有什么好的地方还有可以建议家长也在家里抽出一些时间跟幼儿用华文来沟通。

首先，学会倾听是提升沟通技巧的重要一步。在对话中，专注于他人的话语，避免打断或急于回应，显示出对对方的尊重。例如，在团队会议中，当同事表达他的观点时，避免直接插话，而是等他讲完后，先总结他的观点，然后再提出自己的看法。

I tend to keep difficult situations to myself than sharing with others. I always have the thinking that I may either burden others with it or others might not be able to help me.

In future, I will be more open to share any difficult situation be it whether I may get help for solution or not.

Picture - Parents might still insist on showering before naptime even though outdoor activities has been moved to the afternoons. Parents might accept the suggestion to remove the requirement to shower.

Plan - Acknowledge the parents’ concern about the child’s sensitive skin condition and the need for shower. Bring up the plan to move outdoor activities to the afternoons and clarify the need for shower before nap. Share with parents the reason behind the suggestion to remove shower. (Eg. Reduce physical contact with children’s body)

Part - Share with parents what teachers can do (Eg. Giving child some time to wipe down after outdoor activities). Parents can also arrange for helper to pick up the child after outdoor activities at 4.30pm so that the child can get home quickly to shower to reduce possible skin sensitivity.

首先做好计划准备，与家长分享幼儿日常护理和幼儿参与的课程活动情况，让家长放心。

After getting the feedback from the parent, I will thank them for partnering with us and will check in with the parents if they have tried to start it at home and what is the child's responses.

After that, I will share with the parents some strategies on how they can start their child's toilet training. For example, assess their child's readiness, reading a book about toilet training, establishing routines and to provide words of affirmation.

1. Acknowledged parents concern.

3. Reassuring the parents the safety of children is our utmost priority.

4. Provide suggestions & alternative ways to provide better care for their children

In the future, i will pause and let others to finish talking first then continue talking.

I tend to avoid tough conversation with others.

Whenever I felt angry, upset, facing challenges, the very first thing I do is remained quiet. Refuse to communicate. I need time to calm down myself before I can have a effective communication with others.

Moving forwards, I will pause and hold my thoughts until the person I'm talking to is done speaking/talking.

Purpose: I will call the parent to understand her concerns about the child the next day and also understand the reasons why she sent it so late at night.

Picture: to understand why parent is needing the call at that hour and her perspective. Get an understanding from her about our working hours as well and my availability to reply.

Plan: I will plan to check in on the parent and provide updates of the child's day. Understand her concerns and queries.

Part: Reassure her of her child's transitioning to the new class and also let her know of my availability to address her concerns in future.

Whenever i am not well, I tend to keep quiet and think deeply.

In the future, I will practice open communication with my colleagues and centre leaders.

我在了解幼儿目前的能力后进行了先后的排序和安排。一起练习如厕，但逐个完成脱离纸尿裤。

然后与第一个幼儿的家长进行沟通，倾听家长对幼儿如厕训练的想法和担忧。

然后在肯定家长的想法和担忧后，告知家长幼儿目前会主动跟随已完成如厕训练的幼儿去厕所，也不排斥使用马桶小便，也很明确长大了可以跟纸尿裤说再见，然后练习穿脱内裤了。所以基于目前的阶段和情况，我们可以家园合作开始幼儿的如厕训练。
