This was my First class, in this module I learned about the Public agencies and cooperative purchasing . Professors gave us the definition about public agencies and the type such as Municipal/ Provincial/ Federal government, Healthcare/ Education/Military/ Security. At the end of our class we all were having a In-Class presentation bout the topic Public agencies. It was to be prepared by team by selecting agencies.

The First class was January 4th. I was unable to be a part of that class. I assume that the Professor Sarah would made an introduction about herself, about the class, the course and how the assignment works.

Module 3

Today's topic was all about broader public service directive and trade agreements, silex introduction. Professor did a review about the last module. Also an introduction was made for the Silex presentation that to be done later to the end of the semester. The BPS are organization that receive funds from the government but they are not considered as a part of the government. Such as colleges, school boards, community case access corporations etc. This module also cover the trade agreement.

Apart from this there were a quiz from the module 1- 3 which has to be completed later by the end of module 3.

Module - 4

We were having procurement managers from the City of London to helps us and explain this semester project. About the module, I've gone through the topic. I learned that this module was all about Risk Management . A risk management is a systematic approach to identifying and preventing and/or reducing exposure to any type of loss. We can either Avoid, transfer or manage the risk. Also there was a case study about 'But it was only $1000 job case'. The professor also mentioned about the team contract for the SILEx report and Presentation and continue working with the reflection.

Module - 5

The class was as usually time. In this module we learned about the Public Procurement and the law. Also there was a case about Ron Engineering case.

There were a topic about the Inquiry Jude: people discarded themselves in Toronto scandal. Topic covered are common law, law of agency, agency relationship, agent, principle, contract law, contract A and B. Continue working on the SILEx report and the presentation and the reflection.

Module - 6

Module 6 is the first of three modules where we learned about the tools that public procurement employees use to obtain the goods and services required by their agencies. We learn about the basics of competitive bidding as well as when, why, and how it is used. This chapter I learned about the Integrity in public procurement it is divided into three - open, fair and transparent. It almost the mid-term next week there were one individual case and a group case which must be done within the class time.

In-class working period to work on your group case analysis. I have to submit individual analysis one day before the group submission and need to work together in class with team member for the Executive Summary part. We made a summary regarding the case study by identifying, decision making, and recommendation. We did it by talking care of each members response. And later the class ended with the submission if the group case analysis by every team.

Today was the 1st class after our mid-term. I was absent for this class too. But while going through the chapter I can see that professor taught about document building. It's specification's, type, scope and so on. Continue still working for the Presentation and for the reflection.

Module - 9

This Module covers about the document building – evaluation Criteria and supplier selection. Discussing the qualified and unqualified suppliers, bidding. There is a evaluation criteria with examples for easy learning. Different proposal phases such as Pre-proposal phase, open bid phase and the third one is the post-close phase. An article about the Canadian Bidders Challenge Technical criteria was also presented.

Module - 10

It all about ethics and fraud. Ethics are moral principles that govern a person’s behaviour or the conducting of an activity. And fraud is Act or course of deception, an intentional concealment, omission, or perversion of truth, to

(1)gain unlawful or unfair advantage,

(2)induce another to part with some valuable item or surrender a legal right, or

(3)inflict injury in some manner.

In addition that professor taught about the Patronage, corruption, bribery, collusion.

In this class professor given us time to work together as a team to prepare for our upcoming presentation for SILEx. We sit together discussed about what portion each have to prepare and present. We were a team of five members. The topic we covered are as follows:-

I woke up early because today it was my team presentation and it was very important attend. There was a deadline of 9am to submit a copy of our final group assignment. Everyone dressed up formally and it was good to see all. Professor already informed us the order how we'll present the presentation. It was time and I was confident and happy to do my part. In order to reduce the tension I wrote everything in a paper so that I can check when I need it. Finally we complete it on time not exceeding the limit. It was a good experience and we received our mark after the class. Also professor gave us a cake that she baked. It was so good. I jus love it. Thank you professor.

It was mentioned about the guest speaker coming. But later due to some issue the program was canceled and there was no class that week.

Our final week of class! This was a wrap up selection class. But unfortunately I couldn't make it to the end. It was my pleasure to be a student in Sarah Denomy's class. She is a good Professor. Worked in my places and have much more experience.

Hope that we'll meet at any place later. It was a wonderful experience for me.
