 The gates in/out of the zoo are the cell membrane. They are the cell membrane because the gates control who comes in and who goes out. The animal cages are the cell wall because they surround and protect the animal. Without the cage, the animal could run off and get hurt or hurt someone.

If a zoo animal gets hurt, a lot of times, they don’t have the energy to move or be themselves.
