I am writing to you regarding Wallonia's intervention by the European Commission as part of an audit on the issue of measures taken to avoid any conflict of interest during the LAG selection process within the Leader framework.

The Commission refers to the note "Guidelines on the prevention and management of conflicts of interest under the Financial Regulation" - Official Journal of the European Union C121/1 of 9.4.2021 (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=OJ:C:2021:121:FULL), and we would welcome feedback on best practices from Member States and the EU CAP network on measures taken to avoid any conflict of interest within this Leader framework. This could be useful to us all in the context of the next CAP.

If you have any information, references, suggestions or best practices to highlight on the above topics, we'd like to hear from you.

I am reaching out to gather insights on how your respective National Networks organize their internal monitoring and performance tracking. Specifically, could you share whether you maintain structured spreadsheets or databases for this purpose? Additionally, do you adhere to the CNS methodology, or have you adopted an alternative national-level framework for internal monitoring?
