Blitz is the creator of their own gas cans. They chose not to put a 5 cent piece onto the nozzle of the cans, a piece that prevents fumes from escaping. Because fumes were escaping so easily, the cans were extremely flammable and many exploded. This caused hundreds of injuries and deaths. Wal-Mart was also sued because they were the primary seller of Blitz gas cans.

Blitz had to pay $161 million dollars in damages. Wal-Mart agreed to pay $25 million as part of that. I think the amount of money was fair because realistically all they had to do was add one part to all of the gas cans for 5 cents and they could've avoided all of this.
