Running is a great physical activity for children as they can express themselves and use their imagination to create their own forms and methods of play. They can also get exercise and get their energy out in a healthy way

children in my nursery love riding bikes. It makes them so happy and they are all communicating, but sometimes there are not enough bikes so they get upset but then they get distracted with something else like soft play and enjoy their time. Adults will plan a race with the bikes and who can build the tallest tower and give a sticker ton whoever wins.

This song encourages children in my nursery to sing and do hand movements while showing to their friends , this helps with communication and children will learn new words. Adults will make body and hand movements while the kids copy the movements.

1. Layout lots of props on a table or on the floor and encourage the children to have a look at the props and choose some to tell a story with.
Encourage the children by saying things like “would you like to tell a story with ____” and “which things can we use to create a story”
Encourage the creativity. Ask and encourage the children to create a story using the props, prompt if they need it.
Support speech by continuing to ask children what characters are doing in their story, describe them and set the science.
Expand on the children’s sentences, for example if they say it was raining. Expand the sentence for them “it was raining heavily” as it encourages expansion of sentences.

Children can use their imagination for anything, including making patterns or putting things in their own order. This could be something as simple as going on a walk down to the beach and children finding seaweed and shells and ordering them or using their imagination to make a game out of items that to us adults seem almost near useless
