It is a safe and effective diagnostic tool and results are available quickly.  This is also a painless and non-invasive procedure.  Ultrasound works by utilizing sound waves that strikes an object and bounces, or echoes, back revealing an image. One would be the relying on wi-fi for connectivity. If needed in an emergency and the electricity is out there would be no way to upload the information.
