After my grandmother died when my mom was 15 she went back to school and got up to the 9th grade. After that she moved to LA and attended school there for a year and moved to Oceanside and attended OHS, where she graduated high school. She came here to get a better education and a better life. 
The obstacles she met was learning English and changing her life. His dad wanted a better life so he moved to LA and lived in a very small and very crowded house. When he got enough money he brought his wife over to LA and got a house and started a family. 
The obstacles he met was being very poor, my dad said it was nothing for my grandfather to go the whole day on one tortilla.
