The Holocaust teaches us about the impact of the choices people make, because it may lead to death or punishment. Some jewish prisoners chose to disobey the rules of the Nizas, and as a result were punished by death or torture. It may also result in happiness, or rare, precious moments

More then 11 million people were killed during this tragic event. Learning about tragic events are huge when reflecting on how we can relate today. If events like this never happen then things would get chaotic and crazy. Anne Frank is very important because she wrote a diary about the whole Holocaust and this can be used as first handed evidence to show how these Jews were treated. This is why its important to look at past events and reflect to present day.

-Cam Paladenic

For example if you were a Nazi and you killed someone the price could be nightmares at night or instead of killing the person you decide to let them go. Instead of nightmares you would feel happy but you would need to worry about your own life at risk. The holocaust shows how every little thing in your life, every second, it all matters and you need to decide carefully when you have a choice.

Jennifer Shimko

Hitler was a terrible man because he wanted to "unite" all the ethnic Germans into a huge Germany while also wanting to get rid of all the people who had "torn" Germany apart, he believed that these people were the Allies (The United Kingdom, France, etc.) and the jewish people. During the war Hitler had the advantage while bombing Birmingham and then since Berlin was bombed, he decided to bomb London and that then gave the royal air force time to recover and counter-attack against the german air force which gave the Allies air support and that led to the defeat of Germany because they no longer had an advantage over the allies, that shows that decisions by one person change the entire tide of a conflict like World War 2.

Learning about the Holocaust teaches us about the power and impact of our choices because it shows the littlest choice can have a big impact on your future. Everything we do will have an impact some may be for the worse or for better. Say your a Nazi you have a choice to follow Hitler, and if you make that choice then you will have to live with the fact that you were part of killing over 11 million people just because of the little choice they made to be happy, which that choice didn't affect you at all but you chose to follow Hitler. And those choices affected all those people daily. Which is why we need to consider the amount of damage that can be cause by making a simple choice.
-Avery Miller
