She said that it was a very emotional book. She also told me had some sense of humor in it as well. The Book Thief is about a orphan girl who was in the middle of the situation when Germany completely took over the Jews.  The girl's name is Liesel and her best friend was Rudy. Liesel also loved to read book. But the bad thing is since her orphan father and mother wasn't very rich, she steals it. You can now see clearly why the book is called The Book Thief. I would recommend this book for maybe 12-15 years old or older since the book has some inappropriate things in it for example swears and violence. But the book is just as fun and it can teach us history about how Germany has once invaded the Jews.   The narrator in this is Death, and Death is someone who can live infinitly

Then gets attacked for whatever reason by an evil group named SPYDER. In my opinion, the book is amusing at the book keeps you on your toes while your reading it. The book includes a lot of details so it's not complicated to imagine what's happening and the settings. There is a whole series of this book. This is only the first book of many lots. I would recommend this book if you like an exciting book since this is one. But in the front of the story, they lived together since Hans was a friend with Max's father who saved his life by forcing him to take a writing job in the army. They were good friends until Max's father died in war, while Hans was writing. Anyways, Max's family and him was separated, and her mother decided that he should live with Hans since his father was good friends with him. So, Max lived in a basement until one day, he had to leave since because of a misunderstanding of Hans. So they never saw him again, and Liesel missed him. But then she found a sketch book and knew where Max was. While the Jews were taking a march outside for their monthly walk of being prisoners, Liesel marched with them to see if Max was there. She found Max and had tears in her eyes, and so did Max. But then, a soldier who made sure the Jews didn't escape and notice Liesel and Max, and beat her up. But she couldn't resist the fun of the books and decided to steal them until she got caught and the mayor's wife told her she loved it when she visited the library so she could visit freely, without having to steal. Anyways, back to the story. One day, the mayor's wife loved the letter that Liesel sent and inspired Liesel to write a book which she did. She wrote the book called the Book Thief which isn't same as The Book thief since Death is telling us the story, but it was similar. Liesel told her about her life starting with how her brother died. The Russians attack Germany once again by a bomb raid. But when it happened everyone was sleeping quietly. The bombs dropped out of the plane. The sirens started to ring but it was to late. All it was left after the explosions was souls ready to be taken. Of course, Death, our narrator, had the job of taking the souls of people that are passed away. Death took the soul of Rudy, Liesel's best friend, and his sisters. Death took the souls of Liesel's papa and mama. After he took Liesel's mothers soul, Death looked at Liesel's fathers. The soul rose. Death says those kind of souls are the best. It means I'm ready to go. I don't want to go, but I'm ready. After that, Death's job was done, and no. I didn't forget Liesel. Liesel survived the bomb raid since she was asleep in the basement since she was writing. The explosions couldn't reach the basement so Liesel could survive. When the Nazi found out they were really surprised. But Liesel... called for her mother and father, Max and Rudy as well. First she found Rudy's dead body. She thought of how he always wanted a kiss from her. She told him to wake up, crying. Then, she kissed him. She kissed him for a long time. After that, she found the body of her parents. She said thank you for her mother and told her that she always loved her. Her father... she couldn't even look at him. Liesel had so many great memories with him, she couldn't possibly say goodbye now. All she said was that she loved her. Liesel couldn't find the body of Max the Jew. She kept crying for her but his body could not be found. At that moment, he saw a boy. He was running along the sidewalk. He thought the boy was trying to catch the bus since the bus stop at the corner, but there was something weird about him. He wasn't wearing any shoes. His school, (Trace Middle School) had it easy with dress codes, but he was sure that any kind of footwear was needed. Now, I would think that it would be weird if a kid is trying to catch a bus barefoot too. And I would definitely wonder why he didn't have any footwear. My best guess would be that he was in a track and field team, and he was practicing running. When Dana set him free, he instantly open the window to get a better view of the boy. But when he popped his head out, the boy was long gone and he could not see him. I also really like the story, it is interesting and mysterious which makes me wanna read more. The idea of a little prince coming to earth and tell his story how grownups are always busy and serious, makes sense in a child's perspective. I understand how and why he thinks adults are boring in some ways. I also understand how he is lonely and needs friends. I would recommend this book to a friend who is having a difficult time with adults and to someone a child who is in puberty and is sensitive to their parents.
