This is my first English project in Rutgers. When I saw the theme of this project, I first thought of the book “Romance of The Three Kingdoms”. It's because a lot of The content in this book has in common with the article we studied in class, "The Teacher Who Changed My Life." At the same time, "Romance of The Three Kingdoms" is also a very impressive book for me. I don't like reading myself. First Impression of New York

I have a soft spot for skyscrapers. I like to visit Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong when I am in China. There are countless tall buildings there. Walking among the tall buildings will give me unlimited motivation and motivate me to work harder and harder. When I first came to New York, I was attracted by the skyscrapers here, which were different from the completely new skyscrapers in Shanghai and Shenzhen, and the very old skyscrapers in Hong Kong. Before I started writing the second project, I studied the Empathy Diaries and Yo-Yo-Ma articles. These two articles are in my opinion the most difficult to understand this semester. The article is very raw to read and difficult to understand. But I still read again and again, and finally succeeded in understanding. And it can be reflected in writing the second project. Writing this article has improved my ability to add transitions and use quote.

Project 3 Presentation

It was also the first time I gave a public speech in college. I did a lot of preparation before giving this speech. In my opinion, the biggest difference between speech and essay is the way to show to the audience. When presenting, I can show it through my facial expressions, body language, stressing sentences, or using some kind of interactive way. However, the essay is relatively simple. We can only understand it from the words. Theoretically, presentation is a better way than writing an essay. However, if the speech is not effective, the score will be greatly reduced. It's because a bad speech will result in no audience listening to your speech. So I need to use some techniques to get the audience's attention. I think the most important thing is to be very active myself. Vary my tone of voice, use body language, etc.

My Thanksgiving

This is my first time in the western United States. I got my U.S. driver's license two days before I went to see my friend. We drove south from San Francisco all the way to Los Angeles. Through the most beautiful section of Big Sur. I also met up with two high school friends in California. I am very happy for this experience. I used to watch the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco on TV, but this time I drove myself on the Golden Gate Bridge, and I was very excited. It's a long distance from the east to the west, but I think it's worth it. This is the most memorable Thanksgiving I've ever had.

First time in Los Angeles

I went to Santa Monica on the second day to watch the sunset, but I couldn't because of the fog. I was lucky enough to see it on my last day in Los Angeles. This place is really beautiful.
