We think that when the muscle contracts, the tropomyosin uncovers the myosin binding space for the myosin molecule head to insert itself. The head inserts itself on the outer edge of the sarcomere the tail inserts itself in the centre of the sarcomere. Then when the myosin molecule receives a signal from the motor unit, the myosin molecule then twists and pulls the head and tail closer together causing the myosin and actin to shorten. This happens with each myofibril, resulting in full muscle movement.

Due to the H-zone only being visible when the muscle is relaxed, the myosin heads will contract to activate the M-line which will cause the actin to pull together and close the H-zone. Resulting in muscle contraction.
