2) We can approach the exchange student and have conversations with him/her so that we can get to know each other better and build our friendship step by step.

Considerations: Make sure to not negatively affect his/her feelings, give the exchange student some time because he/she needs a while to gain trust (especially after getting bullied).

Q2- Invite them for recess to find out more about their culture.
Q3- "Hi! I am X. Would you like to join us for recess? What do you enjoy doing?" and walk with them to the canteen
If we are going to share food with them, we have to take note of their religious and cultural practices/preferences.
