1. I can identify movements in the 3 planes of movement. In class we would review the planes either showing it on ourselves or by watching a video. I like how we reviewed it almost everyday because that way I memorized it better. I know that if the front and back of your body are split that plane is called the frontal. If your body is split in half at the waste that plane is the transverse plane. Then if your body is split in half from the head to the bottom that is the saggital plane.

2.I can list 6 characteristics of a synovial joint. Doing notes helped me remember these joints. In class with Mrs.Pila showing us where they are on our bodies helped out a lot on learning it. Also having it on our weekly test made me remember all of them. I know that the ball and socket joint is for example in your shoulder so you can move it up and down and side to side. Then your hinge joint is in your elbow where you can extend it. You also have your saddle joint that is in your carpal joint in your thumb. It helps two bones articulate with one another. Then there´s the ellipsoid joint where you can move your wrist from side to side. Your pivot joint is where two bones twist around each other and is located in the forearm. Then your gliding joint is where two flat surfaces of bone glide across each other. This joint is located in your ankle.
