Music is combined with so many aspects of musical elements like tone and rhythm or opposite emotions. I think what is important to take format this is that linking suc together is what allows you to experience more of the music in different meanings and emotions. Exclusivity is important because keeping certain elements within a song and not others creates the different barriers in songs. It is about having different perspectives and using that to create a whole prescriptive in the end. I do agree with Ratliff's arguments on this musical elements because it makes sense to combine and exclude different or similar elements in order to achieve success in what your goal the song is.
