-Simulation is a technique or device that attempts to create characteristics of the real world
-Patient Simulators allow the educator(s) to control the learning environment through scheduling of practice, providing feedback, and minimizing or introducing environmental distractions
-Patient simulators can interact or react to students' actions
-Human patient simulators are interactive mannequins that are capable of realistic physiologic responses such as respiration, pulses, heart sounds, breath sounds, urinary output, and pupil reaction. They also have the ability to communicate with the students

(Durham & Alden, 2008)

-Whether simulations are done with human patient simulators or virtually, both can easily be used in distant learning
-If enrolled in online/distant learning health courses, staff can arrange for students to come in and complete human patient simulations in person for more realistic experience...This is especially helpful when in person clinicals (such as during or post pandemic) are limited
-Online/Distant learners can use virtual simulation more conveniently. Usually this can be done by a laptop or mobile device in the comfort of their own home or setting of choice
-Both human patient simulations and virtual simulations are beneficial to distant learners because they allow for flexibility in schedules and provide learning experiences in a controlled and supportive environment

Both apps provide feedback to allow student to understand why his or her choice may not have been the best choice and provides rationales for questions asked.

Both apps can help to enhance nursing student knowledge by allowing them to practice getting "experience" without causing real patient harm. The apps also allows for students to repeat scenarios and practice necessary skills.

What is Padlet?
Padlet is an online noticeboard that can be shared with others so that they can add to or collaborate on group projects. It can be used for brainstorming, sharing notes, presentations, and for asking questions anonymously during lessons. Padlet also has the ability to provide questions and answers related to assignments. Padlet can be exported as image, spreadsheet, or PDF file as well (Sheffield Hallum University, 2023).

Advantages of Padlet
-Has the ability to add a video to it, drag in an interview, add photos, or upload documents
-Can choose custom wallpapers or themes
-There’s no limited physical space with word walls
-Easy to share links with others or collaborate with others
-Can be exported as image, spreadsheet, or PDF file

Disadvantages of Padlet
-Costs money for better versions
-Takes repetition to getting used to
