how do EV cars compare and contrast to gas powered cars

Well for starters EV cars have zero emission costs and are very lost cost of maintenance. For example to fully charge a tesla model 3 it costs $10.99 at a supercharger away from someones house. Comparing this to ICE cars ( Internal Combustion Engines) it can take a lot of money for a little bit of gas and if you are a frequent driver going long miles back and forth this can bring down you gas milage further and further. On top of this you cannot refuel your car at your house which forces you to drive to the nearest gas station and depending on the persons location this can be an issue for said person.

Repair costs for EV compared to ICE cars

To start off ICE cars are very reliable and while not as smart as EV cars they cost way less to fix coming around $500-$700 to fix when theres and issue and maybe less if the mechanics know what they are doing. When it comes to EV however this price almost goes up by 10 times the amount of a normal car cost. See the average cost of repair a EV vehicle in 2023 is around $5,000-$7,000. This makes it also more money do to the fact that there aren't enough mechanics that work on EV vehicles making the repair that much more difficult. Usually EV cars are smart enough to give themselves software updates due to the technology they possess and how they are coded. Though ICE cars can work like this too they are more of plug and play to see what you get and to find whats the issue https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a44877211/electric-car-repair-costs/

Common issues with EV cars and ICE cars

When it comes to EV theres a lot more safety precautions companies must take before they can let cars be in production and let them hit the streets. Main issues with EV cars these days are charging speeds, battery issues, costs, range anxiety, and charging station accessibility. These are common issues that customers have with their cars solely because its just an annoyance for them. Now we bring in gas powered cars their main issue is that when they reach a certain distance the the transmission can have issues same with the gas filters and spark plugs as well. The last few som easier issues to deal with while the transmission issues are very much a dent in someones bank account. You see transmission aren't cheap just the part alone is around $1,800-$3,500 and this doesn't include the labor and taxes the mechanic will give you just to put it in and tune your car. There are many comparisons and contrast with these two forms of cars. However EV does have more expenses if broken compared to a ICE car.
