The history of the Guadeloupe opened to me with new knowledge. It makes me wonder how one can see this day without anger or shame knowing the history of Europeans violent acts.
I have studied and thought lot about identety when I was studying in the university (I even wrote thesis around the subject) in the past and todays session made me go back to those times and then back to this moment. I strongly share those thoughts about individuals creating their own picture about national identity and even those "global individuals" who think they are "worlds citizens"with out any will to attach themselves in any national identity, are also creating their own image of national culture from that perspective.

Those are my spiral and maybe confusing words and thoughts.

Live in the present!
Many people were brought here as slaves. Their ancestors suffered greatly. However, there is no hatred and everyone is friendly to one another. They live in the present. They know that it is important to live together, to help and support one another. They look to the future and leave the past behind.I am very impressed.
I also found it very exciting to think about yourself, your name, your attitudes, etc. when do you take the time to do this?
I also realized again how important our project and the work that goes with it, is.
After our class, I saw this rainbow. A colorful mixture can create something wonderful.

Today was a really colourful day. Over several corona years I realized once more how essential travelling is for me. Not just being a tourist but this kind of meaningful travelling when I can learn about the diversity of nature, people and cultures. In the Jay Shetty's video that Rita shared with us I liked this part,
"Travel gives you a bird's eye view. Travelling helps us look at our lives from a distance - both physically and metaphorically. And when you do that you're able to see things a lot more clearly."

The other important thing I learned was about living, noticing and enjoying the present moment. Not digging in the past or looking forward. For example I noticed that banana trees had flowers and fruits at the same time and the flowers are extremely beautiful. We can wish that our next day plans will come true but we can't take it for granted and we have to take it easy. I am grateful for the day.
