I think the thing that surprised me the most is how much time is a factor when it comes to purchasing insurance, and how big the cost difference is between the span of even just 6 months.

Everyone needs life insurance, so this was really an eye opener to me and will help me plan better for the future and possibly even get coverage very early on.
3. If you could pass on your knowledge to a family member or friend, what do you think is the most important thing to pass on? 
I would say the most import thing to pass on to others is that time is a huge factor when purchasing insurance.
