Best part of it, that you can "test" them in a fun, engaging way! Kahoot can also be used for fun games, like trivia, getting to know each other, etc. It doesn't have to be only related to academic topics. 
You can use Kahoot at the beginning of class to assess the student's current knowledge, or what they remember from last class. You can use it at the end of class as exit tickets, or during the lesson to check for understanding. Students can also create their own Kahoots and test each other out before a test. I used it as a getting to know you activity, where the kids crated a Personal Kahoot (with facts about them) and their classmates had to take it. Super fun!
