The most ironic point, however, is how Mr. Haley brags and brags about being humane yet is a top "article seller" and specializes in bringing in top dollar. Mr. Shelby is in fact, a bit more humane than Mr. Haley, but still uses Harry as a play thing, calling him Jim Crow and making him perform, and even considering to separate Harry and his mother in the back of his mind.
