care needs through the six life stages.

Infancy

During infancy , the infant is fully dependent on the adult. This is because they can't cook to feed themselves. They need someone to take care of them to feed them , wash them and etc. They need physical , social and emotional support to grow and become independent.

Childhood

During childhood , this is when they slightly increase their independence. Such that they can go to the toilet by themselves and clean their teeth. But they would still need help for many things that they still cannot do, such as cooking meals. They need someone to teach them how to read and write.

Adolescence

During adolescence , it is a time of physical independence. This is because they can cook basic meals and shop for ingredients. They might need help with their physical changes such as understanding them and coping with them. Also, they may need help developing social confidence and emotional resilience if they do not already have these traits. Furthermore they might need help deciding where to go after secondary school and may need support getting used to their new settings.

Early adulthood

Through out early adulthood, they need help with their career to stay fit and well. Also guidance on managing finances. Also applying to university and moving out if they do.

Middle adulthood

During middle adulthood they may need help managing stress and health issues, as well as helping aging parents and planning for the future. You might also need help in marrying or divorcing.

Later adulthood

Throughout late adulthood they may need assistance with daily tasks, medical checkups and not being lonely. They may also face bereavement from the loss of someone close to them. Might need help getting over it

The medical model of health and well-being focuses on the idea that health is mainly determined by biological factors and illness. Not psychological , social or environmental factors these are overlooked within the medical model.

Illnesses are often seen as changes from a normal to an abnormal biological state caused by pathogens or genetics.

The main types of treatments are medical treatments including drugs , surgeries and therapy. They diagnose someone and find the cure for it.

Doctors play an important role in both diagnosing and treating illnesses. But most of the time, the person has to look out for medical attention and follow the procedures and treatments that the doctor gives them. This way, it reassures the person because they feel like they know what will happen to them and how they will be treated.

The downside of the medical model is that it doesn't consider factors such as environment or social. Also, it doesn't have a cure for mental illnesses or genetic disorders.

The social model of health and well-being focuses on understanding health through social factors. It says that health is influenced by cultural , social , economic and environmental factors. Rather than the person's biological factor. Social environment factors such as housing , work , education , income , access to healthcare and over all lifestyle has an impact on an individual's health. An example could be a child living in a small cramped flat filled with mold and its unclean is going to have a worse quality of life instead of a child living in a big house its clean and its mold free. These factors have an impact on the individual because they impact their quality of life.

Health and social care practitioners have a duty to recognize and respond to concerns about an individual's growth and development across their lifespan. From infancy through adulthood , identifying potential developmental delays or issues is important for providing quick action and support.

Early intervention can prevent or lessen potential lasting effects if developmental issues are identified early.

Furthermore , the earlier the causes are found the less stress the patient goes through , as well as the family of the patient.

An example could be that a child born deaf will be given support and it might be a hearing aid so they can learn to speak and hear, or it might be to learn sign language.

In conclusion , the recognition and response to concerns about an individual's growth and development by health and social care practitioners are important for ensuring successful outcomes that affect the person's physical , emotional , social, and academic progress. Through early intervention and support , practitioners can ensure that individuals reach their full potential.
