From 2023 British Visitors will need to register online and pay in advance for a Etias Visa. This will be £7 for 3 year permit. The UK passport holders now require a visa to work in the EU, so tour operators are employing more EU-based staff as resort reps. The length of stay will be more affected for holiday makers and business travellers to stay in the EU for longer than 90 days. If tourists want to stop longer than 90 days they will need to have a visa with them. Holidays will also be more expensive, due to mobile date roaming and insurance. The UK tourists are now being able to bring duty free alcohol and tobacco into the UK from an EU destinations. From coming out the EU the UK tourists will no longer be able to use an EU passport and use the fast track with that passport. This will impact for the future as the money will keep on increasing, this will lead to many people not wanting to travel across the seas. This is to save money. However many more people will now just want to book holidays within the UK, as this will be a lot cheaper.

The petrol prices are now flying up in price which means it will cost more to travel across the UK. Its now making people not pay for everything they would normally get as prices are getting higher and higher.
The price of holidays to European destinations is expected to rise in 2023 as travel companies face rising energy costs across Europe.
The UK currency has dropped in value compared to most currencies, making travel to the UK from overseas visitors cheaper.
The cost of living will impact on travel and tourism industry as many people will prioritize there needs more then traveling across seas.

Tourists would want to experience something different such as different holidays and day trips out. The holidays will be based on there normally hobbies and interests. Older generation are now living longer all because the health care has got a lot much better. They will be going on more holidays as they will feel more healthy to go and well enough to get up and go somewhere different. The younger people are staying at home for longer as it is really expensive to move out into a new world. Meaning they will have more disposable income and can spend it on holidays.
Package holiday have been really popular since the 1950s but they have slightly decreased down as the years have come. Most people have been the typical 1-2 week beach holidays and want to try something different. People are now booking more city breaks and long weekends, travel companies are needing to adapt to these trends to ensure they stay competitive.

The airport security will be quicker as 3D baggage scanners will be introduced by 2024 and will be able to accurately detect contents of a passenger’s bag without them needing to remove liquids and electronics.

Package travel regulations is a contract that all travel and tourism businesses should have to offer customers products and services of a high standard of customer service, this includes suppliers otherwise customers are entitled to compensation. Travel companies have to go with the laws in each country they operate. Some of the countries have more stricter rules than others regarding health and safety, employment rights and consumer protection. this in which they will need to follow.
Data protection regulations require most businesses to keep customer information safely and for a limited period of time. They face huge fines if they do not go along with this law.
Companies who have purchased soft drinks that contain sugar now have to pay a sugar tax. This is meaning they have to cover that tax the customer pays. There is an increase in minimum wage makes labour costs more expensive and the costs more to employ people which can affect small businesses.

The main issue is airlines. There is pressure on the airline

Industry to reduce the reliance on fossil fuels such as kerosene and produce greener, renewable fuels to hit net-zero targets set by ICAO. Airlines are also using more fuel efficient planes on a long-haul flight that can be smaller but can fly further. The Local sourcing is important to help the local community and it reduces food miles. Travel companies who source locally will be seen in a positive light from now on.
Ethical sourcing covers the products that are produced. This is including the whole supply chain and ensuring that workers are involved has to be treated and paid fairly.
There is increasing pressure on travel organisations to become environmentally responsible. Most companies now have a sustainability policy or strategy which everyone follows. Tourists are now becoming more environmentally aware and will choose to book with companies that are playing their part of reducing their impact on the environment. Popular destinations such as the Maldives are at great risk from rising sea levels due to the climate change there. They are trying to reduce the risk and by them doing this they are trying to make environmental aircrafts. They are choosing companies that are more environmental friendly then ones that don't.
