TRUST. THE. PROCESS.

This is something you will hear many times throughout the year, and as cheesy or ridiculous as it might sound, you really need to trust the process. You're not just studying a couple days before the test; the entire school year is your study session. There are going to be so many times where you are not going to want to do an assignment but trust me: everything in this class has a specific purpose and will ultimately get you that five.

It's as simple as that. A 5 is not going to magically appear on your score sheet: you have to work for it. Do your homework, read your books, write your essays, and pay attention in class. Even if you just had practice for three hours and it's 1 in the morning, take the time to do your work. It will pay off, I promise.

I don't care what you have the night before the exam you need to drink a LOT of water and go to bed at like 8, 9 at the latest. But before you go to sleep, have everything ready for the morning i.e. at least three pencils, pens, ID, etc. I would then recommend waking up an hour before you have to leave to just sit and relax and wake up a little bit. Watch some TV, make a good ass breakfast with like eggs and avocado. Here's article on good brain foods:

That's just a fact. But to make it a little less hellish, force yourself to analyze the passage your reading and really work to underline what you think could be important. This way, you are subconsciously understanding what was a very confusing passage. ALSO. they literally give you two seconds to do 55 questions, so if you get stuck on a particularly hard question, just bubble in C and move on because you will run out of time if you think about what kind of underlying themes or tone the passage has for too long.
