         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><mark>Historical Background:</mark></strong><br>Chegodilu, also known as Chakodi, is a crunchy, special and famous snack of Telangana. Toasted sesame seeds are the special feature in this deep fried snack giving it a unique nutty flavor that goes well with the mild spiciness. Chegodilu is savoured popularly during festivities, especially during Dusshera and Diwali.<br><br><strong><mark>Ingredients:</mark></strong><br>▢1 cup water<br>▢½ tsp kashmiri red chilli powder<br>▢¼ tsp turmeric<br>▢¼ tsp ajwain / carom seeds<br>▢2 tbsp sesame seeds <br>▢pinch hing / asafoetida<br>▢1 tsp ghee / clarified butter<br>▢¾ tsp salt<br>▢1 cup rice flour<br>▢oil (for frying)<br><br><strong><mark>Recipe:</mark></strong><br>1.Firstly, in a large kadai take 1 cup water.<br>2.Add ½ tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp turmeric, ¼ tsp ajwain, 2 tbsp sesame seeds, pinch hing, 1 tsp ghee and ¾ tsp salt.<br>3.Mix well and get the water to a boil.<br>4.Now add 1 cup rice flour and mix well.<br>5.Mix until all the water is absorbed.<br>6.Transfer the mixture to a large mixing bowl.<br>7.Wet your hand with water and start to knead.<br>8.Be careful as the flour mixture will be hot.<br>9.Knead until a soft dough is formed.<br>10.Now pinch a ball sized dough and roll gently.<br>11.Roll to a thick rope greasing the board with oil.<br>12.You can adjust the thickness by rolling gently.<br>13.Cut into pieces and join the ends.<br>14.Deep fry in hot oil keeping the flame on medium.<br>15.Stir occasionally, making sure to fry on low to medium flame.<br>16.Fry until it turns golden and crisp. takes approximately 10 minutes.<br>17.Drain off over kitchen paper to remove excess oil.<br>18.Finally, enjoy chegodilu by storing in an airtight container for a month.<br><mark><br></mark><strong><mark>NUTRITION:</mark></strong><br>Calories: 723kcal<br>Carbohydrates: 133g<br>Protein: 13g<br>Fat: 15g<br>Saturated Fat: 4g<br>Cholesterol: 11mg<br>Sodium: 1795mg<br>Potassium: 196mg<br>Fiber: 7g<br>Sugar: 1g<br>Vitamin A: 617IU<br>Calcium: 172mg<br>Iron: 3mg<br><br><strong>Name:- Ishita Leena Khapare<br>Class/Sec:- 8th D<br>Roll no:- 14<br></strong><br></div>]]></description>
