  • All of the students had access to ONE Educational Animoto account. One student, we will call him Johnny, made an inappropriate racist video that all could see and posted it to the classroom account. He thought he posted it to his private account;however, it ended up in the shared account WITH this name on it. He felt very guilty and confronted me about it and apologized. 

    • What should his punishment be? How could the situation be eliminated?

  • I had a sub for the day and the students were instructed to read an article in Spanish about Three Kings Day in Spanish posted on My Big Campus. The article was from a Central American News site where Censorship is VERY limited and some nude girls ended up flashing on the right hand of the screen in an ad. One of the students sent me a My Big Campus message alerting me of the situation while I was dealing with a family emergency.

  • It was my first year as a Spanish teacher and my students were supposed to read one chapter of the book, The Time of the Butterflies by Julia Alvarez and answer questions in Spanish over the book. During study hall, I caught one of my students looking at a screenshot of student work and copying answers on his cell phone.
