We often are asked how we are engaging our lower level learners. It seems that the research surrounding what it means to "Meet a Pro" helps those students specifically. What I found most interesting was that students with language issues benefit most from hearing career speakers talk about the things they do. I'm hopeful that using Nepris will give students opportunities to be further engaged, find more relevance in the subject they are studying, and ultimately find a pathway and purpose for their education. I also want to see students really expressing interest in asking questions that go beyond the scope of the classroom: how can I find out more about this career, what skills do I need to be better at to be successful at this job, etc. If students can discover what we as most adults took our entire education to discover, then we could hope for more productivity long term from our students and who knows what that could provide?!
