Many of the parking meters downtown only accept cards now, but they often seem to be broken, making it impossible to pay. Also, the machines that do take coins usually just eat up your coins without processing the payment at all. It's frustrating because even though you try to pay, you risk getting a ticket. There really needs to be a better system in place, especially on a campus with very limited parking options.

The sidewalks at the College of Charleston are hands down some of the worst I've ever encountered in my 23 years of life and I've been to places like New York and Chicago, which don't even compare. Every single day, without fail, I stumble on these uneven paths. It's like a routine now. The unevenness and those huge bumps make walking feel like an obstacle course, and it's not just inconvenient it’s genuinely dangerous. We all end up having to walk in super straight lines to avoid tripping, and even then, it’s a gamble. I really hope the campus takes action to improve the sidewalks because it’s not just about comfort it’s about safety. My feet have had enough, and I’m sure I’m not alone!
