Our office is geared towards the encouragement and promotion of Social Greek Letter Organizations and students striving towards academic success, a healthy lifestyle, and civic responsibility while living the True Bruin Standard.
Sports
Gold and Life Members enjoy free admission to Olympic Sports home games. Olympic Sports include Men’s & Women’s Soccer, Men’s & Women’s Volleyball, Men’s & Women’s Track & Field, Women’s Basketball, Gymnastics, Baseball and Softball. (Olympic Sports excludes UCLA Men’s Basketball, Football and postseason events.) Simply arrive on game day and present your Alumni Association Member ID card at the venue’s ticket window to receive one (1) free admission per membership card while supplies last.
Traditions

SCHOOL COLORS

Like those of the University of California, UCLA's colors are blue and gold. The university's colors were chosen to represent the state's various attributes: Blue to symbolize the ocean, and local wildflowers. Yellow to reflect the Golden State, the California poppy and sunsets. Of course, the shades have changed over the years. The blue, for example, has varied from powder to sky to royal.

THE ORIGIN OF THE BRUIN MASCOTS

The first athletic mascot for UCLA teams appeared as the result of spirited student demand. In the 1930's, a live bear and its trainer were rented by Associated Students to appear at all UCLA home football games. However, wild animals became increasingly difficult to handle in a large crowd, and the Coliseum outlawed their appearances.

The top six most popular undergraduate majors are:biology, business economics, political science, psychology, psycho biology and economics. UCLA offers nearly 150 graduate degree programs, including an extensive selection of management and health sciences options.
The major I would pursue at UCLA is nursing, Nursing professionals provide preventative and restorative health care to patients in a variety of settings. Nurses work to promote health, prevent disease, and help patients cope with illnesses. Nursing is a science that requires in-depth knowledge, skills and understanding. Nursing deals not only with a person's biological needs, but their psychosocial and cultural needs as well.

A back up major I picked is political science
