https://piazza.com/

Often times, students struggle to see basic errors in their code. Piazza would allow students to upload posts of their code with limitations, like the number of characters. By allowing students to view eachother's code without viewing their entire projects, students can work cross-collaboratively with the class to share knowledge and solve problems.

Here, I have made a class called CS101 that UGA students with ".uga" emails can join. I can monitor the posts, create assignment buckets, and keep track of participation. I think this tool would not only be useful for homework, but also post-class discussions or Test Review.

Miro is a free whiteboard platform tool. Anyone can sign up and create an account for free at:

https://miro.com/blog/online-whiteboard-for-teachers/?

In this frame, I have created a board that provides context to a couple of data engineering processes. If I wanted to, I could share this board and collaborate with other students.

To create a map like the one above, begin by creating a new white board and dragging elements from the left toolbar onto the screen. I chose to color code my sticky's based on "code" or "purpose" to make the map more easily navigable.

The importance of this tool comes from the easy to create and share digital art, exhibiting complex concepts in a simplified representation.

Using formative's "Formative" assessment tool, I can create test's about content that we are learning in real time and allow students to participate in class. Not only will formative assess students, but students have the option of uploading screenshots of their code and providing explanations for multiple choice questions.

To create this quiz, i simply went to this link: https://app.formative.com/login, created an account as a teacher, and selected "Formative." This application is free to use for both students and teachers.

For our class, in my day in the life, I would add a hyperlink to the powerpoint. Likewise, if I wanted the powerpoint and formative to be in the same place, I could paste images into the formative and integrate the formative questions into a formative presentation, creating a hybrid test/learn environmment.
