The woman's thighs are significantly larger than the rest of her body, Saville has used tone to convey the shape of her legs - along with the rest of her body. This artwork has been kept to a minimal pallet, using only natural and nude colours. The work is symmetrical as she sits directly in the middle facing the audience. The only thing she is wearing is a pair of silver shoes. She looks as if she is almost in pain or that she is coming to terms with herself. She grasps her own skin, as if she is looking for a relief. She looks uncomfortable sitting on the small stool, she struggles to stay on and this is shown through the way she is crossing her legs around the chair. The colours are very natural and creamy. Very subtle and neutral.

This artwork contrasts with the expectations of a woman's physical appearance. They are meant to be delicate and petite but the subject of this work has large body, thighs and hands.
