         <description><![CDATA[<div> The Eric Carle Museum is a museum of picture book art. I chose this as one of my resources because I think it is really unique. I think that some times the value of picture book art can be overlooked and this source highlights that. On the museum website they have a bookshop blog that includes picture book recommendations, reading inspired activities, and booklists. I would be really excited to use The Eric Carle Museum to find a piece of children's literature. </div>]]></description>

I chose her blog as one of my resources because I liked that she is a teacher giving recommendations based on what she has seen work in the classroom. I also thought that her #classroombookaday feature was really fun and provides a lot of great book recommendations. She has numerous credentials that lead me to believe she is a credible source that I would trust for book ideas. </div>]]></description>

I chose this as one of my sources because on their website they provide a very comprehensive list of children's literature resources. Their booklists were assembled by children's literature experts and have specific titles so a teacher could easily find a book to meet their classroom needs. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Reading Rockets is a source to help struggling readers build phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. I have read a lot of really informative articles on Reading Rockets before but I didn't realize until this assignment that they provide children's books recommendations. They have a book finder tool which allows for teachers to create their own booklist. They also have a number of themed booklists that would make finding a specific type of book a lot easier. I trust this source a lot because I've used it in many of my college classes so I would be very willing to use it for a children's literature recommendation. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Association for Library Service to Children is an organization dedicated to library service for children. Even though this is a professional organization there was one aspect of this website that I found worthwhile. This resource lists common children's literature awards such as, the Newbery Medal, Caldecott Medal, Geisel Medal, etc. The source then provides a list of all the books that have won that particular medal in the past. I thought this was a very cool idea and I would trust the literature that had received these awards. </div>]]></description>

The Norton Anthology of Children's Literature is a book that celebrates the richness and variety of over 350 years of children's literature.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The Children's Book-A-Day Almanac is a blog by Anita Silvey that posts a new children's book recommendation every day. One thing that stood out to me is that she also predicts what children's books she believes are on their way to becoming classics. I like this source because it provides a lot of great book recommendations with very in depth reviews of each book. It is evident that Anita is very passionate about this endeavor. I would love to use some of her recommendations in my classroom. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Here Wee Read is a blog written by a woman named Charnaie. She has a passion for connecting people to diverse and inclusive books. I felt that I was really able to connect with her through her blog and that helped build a lot of trust. She has multiple different book lists that I thought were really inclusive. For example, "books about self esteem, anti bullying" and "books about sharing and manners." Her blog has a very different perspective than a lot of my other resources so I thought it would be really important to include. </div>]]></description>
