This relates to Serbia because Austria-Hungary had wanted to take over land in the Balkans. This leads to rising tensions between the two countries of Russia and Austria.</div>]]></description>

They did not care about having a large military due to their alliances with large country's such as Russia France and Britain.</div>]]></description>

In Serbia Slavic nationalism was very large, Pan-Slavism was very opposed to Austro-Hungarian Empire and its control and influence over the region. This lead to the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo in June 1914.</div>]]></description>
