Cross-cultural communication means that the communicators are more likely to have obvious differences from many aspects (like sexual orientation, religions, parties, and so on). If they are aware of differences, they can obtain more information and better understanding in each other through communication with a more humble and serious attitude. They can also avoid some taboo or sensitive topics about the other to avoid causing unhappiness to the communicator and find similarities between them for better further communication.

Question 4
1. As people growing up in a different cultural background, they will have different views on things. In this way, people's values will collide in the process of communication, which is a normal phenomenon. However, when we communicate with people from other countries, the topic usually starts from similar points, such as common hobbies and similar experiences, which can become the breakthrough to start the topic, so as to expand the topic to learn more about cultural customs, local customs and customs, and expand people's tolerance to differences. It can be seen that intercultural communication can help people broaden their horizon, understand a different world, have more inclusive values and more knowledge.
2. We can avoid misunderstanding. There are cultural taboos in some countries, which can be very troublesome if accidentally encountered. Knowing in advance will avoid risk.
3. Intercultural communication can avoid some misunderstandings and conflicts. For example, some gestures have positive meanings in some countries, but the same gestures in other countries may have negative meanings. If we don't know about them in advance, it will cause misunderstood. However, intercultural communication makes it possible to know this in advance, because humans can solve many problems through effective communication.
