He's family economical state wasn't so good but his brother encourage him to follow his dream. Vincent worked as an art dealer but when he moved in London with his brother he started painting. There he showed up the first symptoms of his depresion. That was the reason why he turned to the religion and he find peace with himself. Moreover, the faith that he had in religion made him go in southern Belgium as a protestan. Unfortunatly, his mental problems didn't get better and then he went to the asylum. There he wrote many letters to his brother and he started taking painting very serious. He painted more than 150 paintings and he sold only one '' The red Vineyard'' in his life time.
