• IDEA #1: Building and Strengthening Pipelines: It seems like a running theme in advocacy areas that involve direct service and community empowerment (education, healthcare, homelessness) is burnout and high turnover amongst service providers.
  • How can we build or strengthen existing career-pathway pipelines to bring in more professionals who are low income, minorities, or generally underrepresented in these fields.
  • Possible areas of exploration:
    • Subsidizing career pathways for this population (free education, loan forgiveness, etc)
    • Creating monetary incentives to remain in the career pathway in the long term.
    • Funding incentives for universities, community colleges, and school districts who strengthen or build out these pipelines and tracking their data/impact
• IDEA #2: I think, despite its drawbacks, that the democratization of information brought on by the age of social media is a deeply positive thing. Republicans have managed and controlled political and social narratives in part because they’ve mysticized the political process and bottlenecked information. 
  • How can we address misinformation? What if we empowered legitimate institutions to leverage social media to further disseminate and democratized information? 
  • In the past, institutions exchanged ideas and academic discussions through peer-reviewed journals and research. How can we transfer this practice to social media and online forums. (I guess the social media equivalent is the blue check-mark)
  • How can we empower Gen-Z to engage with digital media? Can we leverage critical media literacy at a young age and scaffold to mobilization?

- Taking Alex Amadeo's idea and expanding it to parking lots, parking structures, and even off-street parking while tying it into transportation. We need to think about how we can house every single person in this country while also pushing towards a car-free future. Converting parking spaces will allow us to provide affordable shelter and realize that housing is a human right. These spaces also need to be near high quality, high speed transportation. Like Bernie Sanders, I love universality and we need to have universal housing and universal transportation. We need to decommodify housing and transportation. If I was really annoying, I could also tie in these things with climate change. More compact communities that encourage walking, cycling, and transit can help reduce emissions from transportation. There are many wealthy people who have the property to house the houseless but just don't. Realistically, a person with 5 mansions is not using all of them. Wealthy people love to accumulate things in order to feel rich and superior. But is it needed? And since Money is the only thing that moves capitalism, I think it's worth exploring how to incentivize the wealthy to open their homes and renovate them for public or private housing. Rich people love to complain about their taxes so if there were some way to create a tax break, it might move the needle.

Idea # 2 - Reparations for African Americans
The conversation has been humming about for a few years but I'm not entirely interested in money. I think a lumpsum is lazy as there is no true amount of money that can atone for the sins of the slave trade. I would like to see reparations in the form of free college &university, being guaranteed a first home/free mortgage (or significantly reduced mortgage rate for first time home owners) and to have tax-free income for life.

Idea # 3 Capped Income
Nobody needs to be a billionaire, point -blank period. Nobody needs to be a multi-millionaire i would argue.
this my most radical idea - what if there was a "universal" capped income? As in every single American was limited to how much income they could make in a year? Somewhere in the six-eight digit mark. And of course, minimum wage would still be in tact and it would be raised to an actual livable wage by city.
