Full House is a show that was always on in my house, it is a fan favorite in my house. This show showed me ways that family is always there for each other no matter the obstacles and challenges that come up in life.

As a young child, this book for me symbolized woman power and a strong sense of feminism. It's about a young girl who loves pink and learns to love the unique qualities about herself.

5. Bridge To Terabithia

Bridge to Terabithia is one of the first books that I really engaged in and loved. I remember being so interested and drawn to this book that I was upset when I finished it. After finishing the book, I watched the movie and still to this day I still have a strong love for this story. This really awakened and started my literacy journey.

Growing up as a competitive dancer, each year we receive critiques from the judges. This has helped me to be able to receive constructive criticism and be able to apply it to myself. I have learned to not take the judges words to heart but to use their words as inspiration and motivation to further my dance career and grow as a dancer.

During a difficult time in my life in middle school, I listened to this song many times and would dance to it. The lyrics in this song and dancing helped me express feelings that I didn't want to share with others. My love for music has grown over the years because I hold certain lyrics close to my heart and feel as though I can strongly relate to artists and the stories they share throughout their music.

Throughout middle school, twitter was a huge social media platform that many people used on the daily basis. Twitter is a place where you can connect with people, learn new things and just share some of your thoughts. While spending a lot of time on twitter, I have seen the many ways that you can use your words and voice in life.

This is one of the few times I read the book before watching the movie. By being able to have seen and read both, I got to see the different ways that the story and plot play out. The book unlocked a new level of love that I have for the story and it was so intriguing and engaging from the start that I had to watch the movie.

In middle school, my teacher made us read this book and I wasn't 100% into it. I never really loved reading because I would often lose track and my mind would start to wander and think of other things. After watching the movie at the end of seventh grade, I got to really understand the plot and appreciate that books can turn into movies and vise versa. It was very interesting for me to see the way that authors and movie producers can twist and tweak stories to make it more of their own and unique in different ways.

During covid, I feel as though podcasts became a big thing and many people are starting them. I have listened to a few podcasts and it made me aware of how you don't need a screen and picture infant of you to imagine and vision things. Listening to podcasts I was able to create this own vision in my mind based on the words I was hearing.

13. Speech Language Pathologists

As a kid, my brother used to see an SLP to help him improve his speech. I would always go with him to his appointments and we would have so much fun. His speech pathologists had her own practice so sometimes we would go to her place or she would come to my house. We would play games and my brother would improve his speech weekly. Although, I wasn't the one receiving the help, looking back it made me realize that this was beneficial to both of us at the time. Im sure it also improved my speech and allowed me to learn new things just as much as it helped my brother.

I have read a little bit of one of Collen Hoovers books and it made me realize the ways you're reading grows as you get older. My interests in books are now more relationship and early adulthood related, where as I child I was more interested in reading funny novels and more fiction based books.
