Hello. My name is Chan Xin Ling, and I am from Malaysia. I have lived in Malaysia for most of my life, but last year, I spent about six months in Japan, which was a fun experience.

I am in way too many fandoms to count ranging from anime, Superwholock, Marvel, Formula 1 and much more. But I guess currently I am very much into learning more about ww1 & ww2. I especially love the HBO TV series called Band of Brothers alongside others like The Pacific and Masters of the Air. Also if any of you are interested in getting to know the rifles and machine guns from WW2 D-Day and getting to hold them, try your lock in Royal Armouries Leeds and see if they are holding those cool events.

I guess that is all for now, baii.

There are many negative effects of social media that effects the mental health of teenagers. The first negative effect of social media for the youth is insecurity. Insecurity is the lack of confidence that one feels while comparing themselves to other people's highlight reels on social media. The second impact is social currency. Likes, shares and comments hold a lot of value which leads to individuals being treated like a product or commodity. It effects people's reputation both online and offline. The last negative effect of social media is FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) people not being involved in social media can lead to them experiencing social anxiety.

It can be argued that social media has a negative impact on the youth of today, especially on their mental health. The most common impact on your people is that it leaves a bruise on their confidence, leaving them feeling insecure about themselves. This is due to the fact that most people often compare their lives and struggles to the highlight reels of other people, which only show the best moments of a person's life. Another impact that can be seen is that social media has become a sort of way to measure of self-worth, like some sort of social currency. Likes, comments and the number of shares are examples of social currency. Making it seem as if we are the product on the shelves, like we have become some sort of inanimate object. Lastly, people often have a fear of missing out if they aren't on social media 24/7, having a fear of not knowing the latest trend. This can lead to social anxiety and impact many young people's mental health, making them more withdrawn from their peers. - Xin Ling and Jinhong
