What scripts are used?
The script that is used in PowerShell is a plain-text file with a .PS1 file which is simplified to two dozen words.

What is the purpose of it?
The shell is run by the command DOSSHELL
The shell includes common features seen in other file managers such as copying, moving and renaming files as well as "launching" applications with a double click.
DOS Shell also included a help system, program list and a task swapper, making DOS easier to use.

Bash is a Unix shell and command language, it is free and was first released in 1989.
Bash is most commonly used as a default login for systems running Linux such as Apple's macOS, it typically operates in a text window and users can input commands for the system. 1

What scripts are used?
Bash uses a shell script, this is a sequence of commands that can be repeated, these sequences of commands are typically executed by entering a named script into the command line therefore executing the script.
Bash scripts are very similar to commands entered into a typical command prompt however in command prompt singular commands are inputted and processed whereas on Bash a script which is typically a series of commands are entered.

What purpose does it serve?
The main purpose of Bash as stated before is to act as a default command line interface for Linux systems.
