Our country is in disarray, 

As we entered the room with no lights, 

wondering how it would turn bright, 

we were blinded by reality and overwhelmed with concerns. 

There are political platforms present, 

but no one knows who is steadfast and resilient. 

Battling for their ideas and positions, leaving us befuddled and with trust issues. 

On the other side of the road, we are up against a formidable foe,

who is unseen and has the ability to take us away, 

unbearable shouts and mourns from the people,

the state of condition where we are helpless. 

 

Voices are silenced, eyes are blinded 

muted by the horrid lies, and horrid tricks

Crumbling people and a crumbling nation 

destroyed through corrupted and bitter schemes. 

Hopes and dreams are shattered for one can’t have their opinions voiced 

caused by the fearful trauma of the past, we left hanging 

In this state we are currently living

it’s a fight or flight response for our betterment 

We must take action for our best settlement

in order to save ourselves from a struggling state. 

 

We all live in one country and we share the same adversary. 

It is so small yet it leaves us breathless. 

Nation after nation crumbled in defeat, 

and finally, the weapon was complete. 

But some people were deceived; instead of the protection it gave, harm would be received. 

And they believed. We must assemble as a nation, And strengthen our communication. 

If only unity would spread like a disease, 

Countrymen wouldn't suffer like this.

Until we have our thing.

I beg you to question everything

until the truth is alive and heard.

Limitations are not superior

to the little information we all incur.

Hesitation is a noun, not a verb,

take first place instead of third.

Close your eyes to the blinding veil,

all your thoughts are overheard

The world shone in darkness

the light of souls never dimming

kids are mistaken for their weakness

but only the young keeps on winning

where do politics end and your love poems begin?

sometimes they are both the same things

sometimes, they have to be the same thing

It's all up to us, the youth

As a new path merges for us,

A new hope awaits for our future.

Bringing light into this darkness

The young can make a difference

We’re living in the cruelest of realities,
Isn’t that the cruelest lie we’ve told our children? 

Have you seen the facts of history? Or are you too distracted by greed?
I’m afraid we’ve failed the world

I feel like crying,

And they all seem to be laughing,

They have sight only on their interests,
Because half of the things they own they 
took from someone else’s homes.
