         <description><![CDATA[<div>(sorry there was no plus sign under the questions so I didn't know how else to add my responses)<br><br>1. <strong>What are the outstanding properties of Hangul?</strong> One outstanding property is that the alphabet is based off of the shape of one’s mouth when pronouncing the sound. Also, this alphabet system allowed for widespread literacy in Korea<br><br>2. <strong>What are limitations of Hangul that Lee &amp; Ramsey point out?</strong> One limitation is that everything is organized in syllables which makes it difficult to organize phrases alphabetically.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

It was mentioned in the video that King Sejong created Hangul in hopes of helping many illiterate commoners who struggled with the gap between the spoken Korean language and the Chinese characters that were used in reading and writing. Hangul became more than an alphabet, it became a unifying force.</div>]]></description>
