When the banquet was in full sway and the guests were having a ball, she made her grand entrance and the guests fell silent in horror. She stalked in, placed an item on the table in front of the bride and groom, and walked out. 

A nervous friend of the groom picked the item up. It was a golden apple, with something written on it... Zeus snapped his fingers and all four were transported to a hillside, where a handsome young man stood among a flock of goats. "Paris of Troy, I am clearly the most beautiful goddess in all the world. If you choose me, I shall make you the most powerful man in the world, King of all of Europe and Asia!"

This tempted Paris greatly, but he paused. Wisdom was wonderful, but as a mere shepherd boy, would he ever go to war? Whereas being king was more certain. Paris didn't hesitate. "You. I choose you. You are the fairest."

He hardly heard the curses of the other two goddesses as  Aphrodite softly laughed in triumph. She filled his senses completely, all he could hear and see was her.
