If they didnt have family in the contryside they would have to go to a random family.

  • -women had to stay at home and look after their children if they had any.

  • - big citys like london were bombed and I think it was called the blitz.
  • when men in the war sent letters to their familys some words had to be cut out because  they could be read by spies.
  • My Granddad was four years old when the war ended. And something that my granddad told me is that although people in Britain complaned the most about rationing they did the least of in in the hole of Europe!!!
  • In the second world war some Scotish Men wore ladies tights to protect them from the gas.
  • On Christmas day all the people came out of the trenches and played a game of football.
