A mushy paste from tomatoes, with gooey cheese lingering on top. The cheese looks like the stretchy, old gum that you would find stuck beneath a desk. The surface of the pizza is oily, almost as if it was dunked in a pool of gas. Eating the crust is chewing on a rock.

Pepperoni pizza is a slimy mess of melted cheese and oily pepperoni slices on top of a soggy, doughy crust. The overpowering smell of processed meat and excessive oily pools is enough to make anyone lose their appetite, not to mention the yellow oil pools that form between the soggy pepperoni slices.

As I raised the unassuming plastic utensil, thick globs of oil and wax-like cheese dripped down back to the bowl, creating air bubbles that popped like pus-filled pimples. The overwhelming taste of processed American cheese filled my mouth as I chewed on the rubbery, slightly under-cooked noodles.

Pounded Yam. One of the many abhorrent abominations of this world. It begins with a brown, dusty, knobbly yam. You could potentially mistake it for a log of wood. From there, this log of human nature is chopped up, revealing it's dry and flaking interior. These hard dry pieces, which look seconds away from cracking, are then infiltrated by water, turning them mushy, and staining the water with it's ancesteral white substance. From there, it is mercilessly beaten senseless with a long stick, potentially found on the ground, to form the white, sticky, slimy concoction African countries know today as pounded yam.

It was dripping with yellow goo underneath a layer of crackly baked skin. The ribbon shaped pasta was like play dough, squished and drip, drip, dripping with the oily mixture. The extra cheese sprinkled atop was chalk with its aged and parched taste. One bite and it floods your mouth with its choking lactic flavor.
