Winter is a cold season with lots of snow and ice. When the temperature gets below 32 degrees water turns into ice or snow. When we go outside to play in the snow we wear a hat, mittens, snowpants, snow boots, and a coat.

Spring

The winter season turns into spring. In the spring the weather is warmer, and growth begins. Flowers, trees, and plants grow in the spring. In the spring it rains a lot which helps things to grow.

Summer

Summer is the hot season that comes after spring. In the summer the sun shines most of the time and it is a fun time to go swimming. The days are longer in the summer, and more people and animals are out and about.

Fall

Another name for the fall season is autumn. After the summer heat the fall has cooler weather. In the fall the leaves on the trees change from green to orange, red, yellow, and brown. Fall can be a windy season where plants and animals prepare for the cold winter season.
