This so-called witchcraft started in 1962 as people claimed many women as being possessed with the devil. This images shows the light (lightning bolt) from the devil flashing towards the possessed witch. Through the widespread hysteria, the court convened trials in order to find out who is of the devils possessed witches in Salem. </div>]]></description>

All puritans wanted to have a pure religion to God as they wanted to rid the church of any Catholic residue. They wanted to buld their ideas of John Calvin, who is a <br>French theologian, pastor and reformer in Geneva during the Protestant Reformation. Many groups  of Puritans migrated to Northern English colonies in the New World in the 1620s and 1630s, laying the foundation for the religious, intellectual, and social order of New England. </div>]]></description>

Throughout the mass hysteria, about 20 were actual killed for being possessed by the devil, stan. After officials and the colony that the trials were a mistake, those who were convicted were brought back to their families. towards the end of the witchcraft, The governor of the colony ordered an end upon hearing that his own wife was accused of witchcraft<strong>. </strong></div>]]></description>

         <title>The reasoning behind the Mass Hysteria in Salem</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Throughout this witch hunt in Salem, there were many causes as to why the Witch trials every happened. Many citizens of Salem during the 1660s had beliefs of satn possessing men and women, or even children by biting them or casting a spell. If anything wrong happened in their life, like getting sick or hurt, they thought it was stan possessing or taking over them. In order to find out if they are actually on with satn, they will have a devil bite mark or scratches.  They will also exhibit many strange symptom. These were the main reasons/ beliefs of why the witch hunt ever happened.  </div>]]></description>
